The Host Committee for the 2008 Canadian Fastball Championships is pleased to announce the format for the Skills Competition. It will be held on Saturday August 2nd at approximately 5:00 pm. at the Duncan McLellan Ball Park. Tom Waller, long-time fastball supporter in Owen Sound, has currently structured the event to consist of the following 4 events..

• Home Run Derby
• 4 man Relay -. Timed event - 4 players from a team will compete. Each member of the squad will each run the bases trading of with a teammate at home plate. Once all 4 team mates have rounded the bases, the clock will stop.
• Caught Stealing - Catchers will be judged on their accuracy to throw.
• On a Rope - Fielders will be judges on their accuracy to throw to home plate.

To Participating teams: Please have the individuals representing your teams, selected for these events prior to the Team Meeting to be held at 3:00.

This event is expected to take approximately 90 minutes.
